Training Review - Week 37 & 38
After 3 International race in 4 days, all of them with a bug of some kind (non-Covid according to the daily visits to the Spanish Farmacia), I finally ran into a wall of sheer exhaustion and took a day off. After 1,004 consecutive training days I had a rest day, and then decided that since I had stopped my streak anyway, I might as well have a second one for my travel day. The numbers are almost all going to be all over the place as I was tapering and then recce and racing. So here they are, but another week where the bigger picture means that I don't care about them. I will write up my week in Bilbao at some point, but I still haven't finished Targu Mures or Bratislava yet! Biggest things from this fortnight are that I can handle much more difficult mountain bike courses than I thought, and I have learned more again about how to ride my bike on tough technical courses and on steep but simple courses. And I can handle much worse swim conditions than I thought. Actuals, (...
