Training Review - Weeks 45 & 46 (I think)

Somehow I have lost track of weeks. So my best guess is that it is the end of weeks 45 and 46.  I have had a busy week with 2 days at a work conference and a weekend away at my girlfriends house, so have missed some sessions. Also the weather has been biblical, with massive flooding and storm force winds for chunks of the week, so I have hidden inside for several sessions.  I have had confirmation through of my selection for all 6 International races next year Aquathlon, Cross Triathlon and Cross Duathlon, each at World and European levels. Two of those 6 don't have a venue or dates yet, but the rest give me enough that I should really start building my new season around them, and be starting on those plans already. (Ibiza for 3x Worlds in first week in May). For now I am just going to keep on with my annual plan. Training Review - Weeks 43 & 44

It has been a weird couple of weeks. My girlfriend got Covid and we decided that the best option was for her to come and stay at mine so that I could look after her if she got properly sick. And also if I caught it I was stocked to feed two of us for long enough to book online deliveries etc.  I never actually got the Covid, but I have had a couple of other sniffly things that have affected my training efforts. She eventually got the all clear from the magic test kits just in time for an adventure to see the fireworks at the beach. I raced Dundee Aquathlon. And despite them adding a short detour to each lap I came in just faster than last year (33:31 vs 33:36 in 2021). I was placed further down the overall list in 12th overall (8th in 2021). I was well clear as first veteran.  So the numbers are a bit light as I skipped a couple of sessions and quit in the middle of one when I couldn't even get up to 60% of my normal threshold bike power.  I have done my full year of fast...
