Training Review - Weeks 45 & 46 (I think)
Somehow I have lost track of weeks. So my best guess is that it is the end of weeks 45 and 46.
I have had a busy week with 2 days at a work conference and a weekend away at my girlfriends house, so have missed some sessions. Also the weather has been biblical, with massive flooding and storm force winds for chunks of the week, so I have hidden inside for several sessions.
I have had confirmation through of my selection for all 6 International races next year Aquathlon, Cross Triathlon and Cross Duathlon, each at World and European levels. Two of those 6 don't have a venue or dates yet, but the rest give me enough that I should really start building my new season around them, and be starting on those plans already. (Ibiza for 3x Worlds in first week in May). For now I am just going to keep on with my annual plan. I think the next update here should include some changes to that, and possibly changes to this years end-of year target numbers, now that I have realised where I am with 6 weeks to go. (e.g. a slight bike mile increase could make this my biggest bike year ever, and a chunky, but realistic, swim increase could make this my biggest swim year ever).
I have chased up the hospital about scheduling my next set of hip injections, but wasn't hugely impressed with their response. Lining that up with my season based on the NHS looks like it might be harder than I had hoped. I can't afford to go private again so I might need to lean on them again.
