Training Review - Weeks 43 & 44

It has been a weird couple of weeks. My girlfriend got Covid and we decided that the best option was for her to come and stay at mine so that I could look after her if she got properly sick. And also if I caught it I was stocked to feed two of us for long enough to book online deliveries etc.

I never actually got the Covid, but I have had a couple of other sniffly things that have affected my training efforts. She eventually got the all clear from the magic test kits just in time for an adventure to see the fireworks at the beach.

I raced Dundee Aquathlon. And despite them adding a short detour to each lap I came in just faster than last year (33:31 vs 33:36 in 2021). I was placed further down the overall list in 12th overall (8th in 2021). I was well clear as first veteran.

So the numbers are a bit light as I skipped a couple of sessions and quit in the middle of one when I couldn't even get up to 60% of my normal threshold bike power.

I have done my full year of fast runs now.
