Oh Vienna
I still haven't finished my Targu Mures race reports. I planned to do them while chilling out in Vienna, before racing in Bratislava. Instead, Vienna has been trip (only half a trip really) that needs its own post.
I love Vienna.
It is probably the most architecturally beautiful city I have visited. The weather every time I have been has been fabulous. The locals have been great. The other tourists have been friendly. The restaurants are great. Everything is maintained. It has great public transport, most of which is hidden from view but on time. There are bike routes everywhere. The traffic control means very few traffic jams. Everywhere you go, their English is levels above my German.
Pretty much the only downside is that being a European Capital means it is a bit expensive.
If they had an oil industry that would employ me, this is the place I would want to live.
I had a couple of days on my own and a couple of days meeting up with friends. I went round a lot of the historic sites and took a new set of photos (without the ex-wife in them), and generally had an awesome break while I tried to acclimatise for racing at Samorin.
